WEATHER REPORT. 9 a.m.:- Barometer 1022; thermometer, 61; wind, moderate easterly breeze; sky, blue and cloudy; bar, considerable swell; river, normal; rainfall, nil (the rainfall to date this year is 15.70 inches). The depth on the bar at highwater yesterday was 23ft sins. WEATHER FORECAST. The following is the district forecast, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day:— Situation: An extensive anticyclone remains stationary east of New Zealand and the depression in the south Tasman Sea is moving south-eastwards.
Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate winds from a northerly quarter, probably changing westerly to-mor-row; weather, cloudy with occasional rain in South Westland and scattered falls elsewhere to-morrow; temperatures, mild. Further outlook: Still rather unsettled,
