WEATHER REPORT 9 a.m.: Barometer, 1011; thermometer, 58; wind, south-west (moderate breeze); sky, overcast; bar, considerable sea; river, four knot run; rainfall, 12 points. (The total rainfall to date this year now is 8.86 inches). The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 25ft lOins. WEATHER-FORECAST. The following is the district forecast, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day: — Situation: A ridge of high pressure lies over New Zealand. A depression is south of Tasmania. Forecast to 5 p.m. on Friday: Moderate variable winds, westerlies predominating. Apart from a few scattered showers to-morrow morning, weather fair to cloudy. Temperatures moderate. Further outlook: Rain developing from the south.
