ARGENTINIAN WAGES.

BUENOS AIRES, December 26.

The Argentine Government has created a National Institute to fix all workers’ wages and has ordered an annual bonus of one month’s pay fol all employees. Wages throughout Argentina are increased by 10 to 25 per cent. The correspondent of the New York “Herald-Tribune” says that the Opposition considers the move the greatest contribution the Government could make to re-electing Colonel Peron as President.

FLOOD IN CORK

CORK, December 21.

The city’s worst floods for 50 years destroyed thousands of pounds worth of goods, mostly irreplaceable. The entire centre of the city and the principal shopping districts were flooded to a depth of two to four feet at high tide, and for two hours afterwards.

GREEKS MASSACRED

ATHENS, December 21.

The Albanians massacred thousands of Greek men, women, and children in northern Epirus and expelled or sent .to concentration camps many more. This is alleged by the Greek News Agency, which says that the Albanians burned down 200 Creek villages and refugees every day are streaming across the border into southern Epirus, where 4000 are now concentrated.
