WATERPROOF “COTTONS.”

LONDON, December 6. Britain developed during the war a fabric woven from cotton which is spun in such a way as to .make it waterproof, said Sir John Anderson, in a speech at Manchester. The fibres in the new fabric swelled when moistened, permitting the passage of air and keeping.out rain. Britain was producing - this fabric in large quantities.
