A ridge of high pressure is advancing on to the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Fresh east to north-east winds, turning south-west during to-morrow. Weather: Fair at first, but occasional rain developing during to-night. Temperatures: Cool. Further outlook: Fair to cloudy.
