COAST MANAGEMENT MEET The 1945 West Coast Rugby League season will come to an encl on Sunday week, October 13, according to a decision made at last evening's meeting of the management committee. The Richmond (Auckland) club ad- r vised that its senior team would bc r unable to visit the West Coast this season, but intended making the trip early next season. The Blackball Club wrote stating that in a recent junior representative match, a player had been selected who had not qualified by playing the required number of matches in the code, and suggested a closer check in the future. Marist Club was granted permission to run a refreshment stall at Wingham Park fdi’ the 1946 season, a rental to be fixed. It was decided to make a donation of £2/2/- to the St. John Ambulance Division and to send a letter of appreciation for their services during the season. •

Ngahere club was granted permission for its junior team to travel to Christchurch to play Addington next Sunday. The Secretary (Mr. T. McKenzie) was instructed to endeavour to arrange a match between Blackball and Runanga to bring the season to an end, on October 13, the funds to go to the ground improvement fund. He was also requested to make arrangements for a ball at the conclusion of the season.

It was decided to hold a delegates’ meeting next week. The following are the fixtures for Sunday:—

Senior (Challenge Shield): —Marist v. Ngahere, Wingham Park, 2.45 (L. Kinsella); Brunner v. Runanga at Brunner, 2.45 ■ (A. Kennedy); Blackball v. Kohinoor at Blackball, 2.45 (B. McGirr).

Junior A: (Knock-out) Kumara v. Runanga at Kumara, 2.45'(J. Quinn); Blackball and Ngahere byes. Junior B: Runanga v. Brunner at Runanga, 2.45 (C. Fisher); Kohinoor v. Blackball at Wingham Park No. 2 at 1.30 (W. Moore). Fourth Grade: Marist v. Runanga at Runanga at 1.30 (C. Fisher); Brunner v. Kohinoor at Park No. 1, 1.30 (H. Bassett).
