WEATHER REPORT. 9 a.m.: Barometer, 1023 (rising); thermometer, 54; wind, northerly (moderate breeze); sky, overcast, with intermittent rain; rainfall, 80 points (total to date this year, 81.99 ins); bar, moderate sea; river, three knots. The depth on the bar at high water was 24 feet eight inches. WEATHER-FORECAST The following is the district forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day:— Situation: An anti-cyclone northeast of New Zealand is moving slowly eastward. A trough of low pressure is advancing across the South Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate to fresh winds from a northerly quarter; weather cloudy to overcast with occasional drizzle and rain. Temperatures moderate. Further outlook: Cooler, with showers.
