The depth on the bar at high water was 24 feet eight inches. WEATHER-FORECAST The following is the district forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day:— Situation: An anti-cyclone northeast of New Zealand is moving slowly eastward. A trough of low pressure is advancing across the South Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m. Saturday: Moderate to fresh winds from a northerly quarter; weather cloudy to overcast with occasional drizzle and rain. Temperatures moderate. Further outlook: Cooler, with showers.
