FIRE AT AUCKLAND AUCKLAND, April 26. Fire to-night caused considerable damage to portion of the iron store of Seagar Brothers, Limited, in Freeman’s Bay. .The damage was confined to the front part of the building. The outbreak was apparently caused by a gas califont which was left burning in a wash-room on the ground floor. The fire spread to the drawing and general offices of the ton storey, and flames burst through the roof of the building with a loud explosion. One of the gerious aspects of the fire is the loss oi a number of drawings arid drawing instruments and records. A good deal of office furniture was destroyed.
