COAST ASSOCIATION

The West Coast Basketball Association held its annual meeting last evening. Mrs. E. Rodger presiding. In the course of her report the President said that last season was highlv successful from the financial viewpoint and also in the standard of play. despite unfavourable weather. Thanks were expressed to the Patron (Mr. J. Tennent) and the Secretary (Miss Davis). The report and the balance sheet, showing a sound financial position, were adopted. The following officers were elected:—Patron. Mr. J. Tennent; president, Mrs. S. Pcodger'; Vice-presi-dent, Miss S. Nicholson; secretary, Miss A. Davis; treasurer, Miss A. Spender; hon. auditor, Mr. E. L. Kehoe; delegates to West Coast Council of Sport, Mrs. Rodger and Miss Davis; postponement officer, Miss M. Tunnell; trustees, Miss J. Spender and Miss Davis.

The Executive were appointed the Grading Committee, and it was decided io open the season on April 21, with practice games.
