U.S. MINISTER TO RETIRE.
CANBERRA, March 1.
The American Minister to Australia, Mr.'Nelson T. Johnson, is to retire soon. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and their family will leave for the United States shortly. Mr. Johnson is dean of the Canberra diplomatic corps. He was appointed to his present position in February, 1941. Previously he had been U.S. Ambassador to China.
