According to estimated average yields in bushels per acre,, compileci by the Government Statistician (Mr J. W. Butcher) from reports furnished by inspectors of the Department of Agriculture, New Zealand’s total yield of wheat for the season 1944-45 should be approximately 6,800.000 bushels, as against an ascertained yield of 7,208,485 bushels for the season 1933-44.
