West Coasters successful in recent degree and diploma examinations of the University of New Zealand included: —Pauline A. Stewart (English 11, Section 8.T.); and J. A. Chunn (first professional examination for M. 8., CH. B.). A London cablegram stated that turkey and lamb from New Zealand brought the taste of home to 500 New Zealanders, who had Christmas dinner at the New Zealand Forces Club. There was also, plum puddings, cakes and mince-pies from home, and eyeryone voted it a first-class meal. The dinner was held in three sittings. Among those present were Mr Jordan and Mr Sullivan who later visited New Zealanders at Fernleaf Club, Kiwi House, and the Overseas League, finding the traditional spirit in each. Dancing followed the dinner at the New Zealand Forces Club, and at Kiwi House, Lady Hewart ;ave a supper party.
