As joint hostesses, Miss Ryall and Mrs Wafer entertained members ot the Barrytown Women’s Institute at Mrs J. Ryall’s residence. He was admitted to the Grey Hospital and is making satisfactory progress. Paul Costelloe, 19, of Blakeiown, who received a shoulder injury in a League football match at Wingham Park on Sunday, was admitted to” the Grey Hospital yesterday for treatment. His condition to-day was reported to be satisfactory.

On the final day of the competitions, Lois Thompson won the Russian Dance (under nine years), the National Jig (under 12 years), Character Dance (under nine years), and the Acrobatic Dance (under nine years). Audrey Ward (Runanga) won the Sword Dance (12 years and over) with Audrey Nott (Greymouth) second. Audrey Ward was also second in thz Highland Fling (open, the Sean Triubhais (open), the Highland Fling (12- years and over), and the Hornpipe (open). Audrey Nott won the Highland Fling (12 years and over), the Hornpipe (open) and was third in the Sean Triubhais (open). Ailsa Gallon won the Sword Dance (under 12 years), and was second in the Sean Triubhais (under 12 years) and the National Jig (under 12 years). Noeline Spiers (Barrytown) won the Sean Triubhais (under 12 years), was second in the Sword Dance (under 12 years) and third in the National Jig (under I'2 years).
