BARONET, 63, ENGAGED
LONDON, January 26. Sir Cuthbert de Hoghton, 63-year-old widower, of Hoghton Towers, near Preston (Lancashire), holder of the second, oldest baronetcy in England, created in 1611, has announced his engagement to his 19-year-old. secretary. She is the daughter of the widow of an insurance official living on the Hoghton estate. It was at Hoghton Towers that James I is reputed to have knighted a massive loin of beef and created it “Sir Loin.” ■
