CROSSING TRAGEDY
SYDNEY, January 21. The death roll in yesterday’s level crossing accident near Hawkesbury River station has risen to 16. The fourth member of one family, a boy aged six, died in hospital this morning. Two others from the same family are stiff in a critical condition.
The police inquiring Into the tragedy have been told that both gates at the level crossing were open to road traffic when the accident occurred.
