H REYMOUTH-CHRISTCHURCH £)n Friday, 26th November and Friday, 3rd December, a SPECIAL Passenger Train will leave Greymouth at 11.25 p.m. and arrive at Christchurch 5.55 a.m. (Saturday). Will stop where required between Brunner and Springfield inclusive to pick up, and after leaving Springfield will stop where required to set down passengers. Return train leaves Christchurch at 7.10 p.m. each Saturday, 27th November and 4th December, and arrives Greymouth at 1.46 a.m. (Sunday). For further particulars enquire at stations.

GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL CLEAN-UP WEEK COMMENCING ON MONDAY V? NEXT, November 22, and continuing for the succeeding FOUR DAYS, that is, from MONDAY to FRIDAY of next week, a comprehensive Rubbish Collection will be carried out throughout the whole of the Borough. The usual rubbish collection rounds will not be done, except in the case of hotels, etc., where a collection is done twice weekly. In lieu, thereof, the following areas will be covered on the days mentioned:— GREYMOUTH MONDAY Blaketown, Preston Road, and the area between Boundary Street and the Lagoon. TUESDAY. Block bounded by Mawhera Quay, Boundary Street, Victoria Park and the Railway. WEDNESDAY Block bounded by Railway, Herbert Street, Murray Street, and the hills. THURSDAY The remainder of the town northwards of the centre line of Buccleugh Street. FRIDAY All that part of the town southeast of the centre line of Buccleugh St. COBDEN MONDAY All that area lying to the northwest of tne centre line of Newcastle Street. TUESDAY All that area lying to the southeast of the centre line of Newcastle Street The Borough will provide the vehicles and men which may be required to remove all rubbish, of any description other than trade wastes, which may be placed by occupiers or owners of property on the kerb of the footpath or outside the gate on any street where no such kerb exists.
