Fifth prize, £100: 255,078, ExServiceman, Gisborne. NAPIER, September 29. The winner of the art union is Francis Norman Hunt, a retired passenger foreman, New Zealand Railways, aged 72. He was visiting a neighbour whose daughter was listening in to the results and heard Hunt’s name given as the winner. Three of his four sons are in the Army, and one is missing in Burma. He stated that he would give the prize away to have his boy brought home safely.
