AUCKLAND, September 23. A former stationmaster at Mamaku. James Francis Campbell, married, aged 35. was sentenced by Mr. Justice Callan to-day to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour for theft, as a servant, of £346 belonging to the Railways Department. Counsel for Campbell (Mr. Finlay) said that Campbell’s superannuation money, amounting to £2BO, as well as back pay of £36, would go towards the repayment of the moneys taken.
