QUEEN CARNIVAL
POPULAR BABY CONTEST.
Every one is looking forward to the final of the Popular Baby Contest at the Regent Theatre on Sunday evening. The four babies competing will be there with their attendants, and a novel feature will be the presentation of 30 tiny debutantes and pages to the winner of the contest. 'An attractive programme with juvenile performers has been arranged for the first half of the programme. The second portion including vocal and instrumental items and humour and sketches in costume, will be provided by members of the N.Z. Z.A.F. Band, who will be assisted by members of the Junior Pipe Band in acrobatic numbers and reels.
Above wo picture Baby Brian McAi a, in whose support a concert will be held at the Town Hall tomorrow afternoon and evening, the programme being provided by the pupils of the Greymouth Convent schools. There will be dance items, vocal solos, piano solos, and choral numbers. 'Two plays will be presented, and also comedies, drills, parades and recitations.
