WEDDING

FOWLER—CONNOR

The wedding took place on Saturday last at St. Faith’s Church, Neiv Brighton, the Rev. H. H. Fountaine officiating, of Catherine Isabel, second daughter- of Mr. and the late Mrs. Gilbert Connor, formerly of Ru Ru, to Corporal Frederick Arthur, only son of Mrs. S. Wilson, Sydenham. The bride, xvho was given away by her father wore ' a gown of cream magnolia satin cut on slimming lines, and heart-shaped neck line. The skirt was gathered and fell to form a train. She Avore a hand-embroidered tulle veil and a coronet of orange-blossoms. Hex’ bouquet was of white flowers consisting of roses, carnations and. freesias, also maidenhair fern. She Avas attended by her two sisters, Evelyn and Nelly, Avhose frocks were made alike of floral organdi of green and pink respectively. They carried bouquets of Spring flowers. Their head-Aveai' was of matching tulle veiling caught by small sprays of flowers.

Mi’ W. Colquhoun was best man and Mr. J. Pearson was groomsman. After the ceremony the reception Avas held at the Piei’ Tearooms.

The newly-married couple left for a tour of the thermal districts of the North Island. The bride’s travelling costume Avas a grey frock with black coat and accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Fowler will reside in Christchurch.
