NGAHERE LEAGUE TEAM.
[to the editor,]
Sir,—ln your report of the Marist v. Ngahere League match, you mention that Marist were without their captain and another player, well the same thing applied to the Village team in fact they had a job to scrape a team together’ at all, several of the players being bandaged up from previous injuries. A Gibson their best defensive player having to leave the field, they finished with nine active players. One having to go fullback injured was unable to tackle Ever since their last game with Blackball, Ngahere have had twelve players injured, some pretty seriously. At present, we are the lambs in the competition, but we are not looking for sympathy, and will try and field a team somehow for the remainder of the season. Good luck Marist we hope you get more wins. How about lowering Blackballs colours? Yours, etc. SUPPORTER.
