WEST COAST TOTAL. The West Coast total in the Loan reached £331,488 when business closed at noon on Saturday. This was £156,470 below the target for the district, but is regarded by the organisers of the effort in the district as exceeding expectations. Investments on Saturday in the district amounted to £24.134. Five centres, Hokitika, Ross, Moana, Ikamatua and Ngahere exceeded their quotas.
