maorTgold The Maori Gold return for _ the week ended April 2 was 38ozs Bdwts for 123 hours, ’13,500 yards being treated. NGAHERE The Ngahere return for the fortnight ended April 2, 1943, was 281 oz from 79,179 yards, in 208 hours. GOLDEN SANDS The return from .the Golden Sands was 24 oz. 12 dwts., for 20 shifts. BLACKBALL CREEK The Blackball Creek return this week was 30 ounces for 117 hours. SNOWY RIVER There was no wash-up for Snowy River this week, the machinery being under repair. BLACKWATER. Blackwater Mines return for the four weeks ended March 26:—Crushed 3195 tons, yielding 1388 ounces of gold from all sources, the yalue of which was £.11,659. Working expenses, not including ordinary or war duty were £6532. Development expenditure was £528 and capital expenditure was £404.
