ROOSEVELT’S FOURTH TERM
(Rec. 11.0 a.m.) WASHINGTON, March 3
The chairman, Frank Walker, and 12 members, of the Higher Councils of the Democratic National Committee, conferred with Mr. Roosevelt today, and recommended his acceptance of the Party’s candidature for election in 1944. Mr. Walker’ said that Mr. Roosevelt smiled, but gave no response.
RATIONING OF FOOD. NEW YORK, March 3. Nation-wide rationing of meat, cheese, butter, cooking fats, and oils will begin on April 1, says the “New York Times’s” Washington corres- [ pondent. The meat ration will be one and three-quarter lbs per person a week.
