HOME AND SCHOOL ASSN.

MEETING AT MAIN SCHOOL. Parents and teachers interested in the re-establishment of the Greymouth Home and School Association met at the Grey Main School last evening, Mr. A. Dalziel, President of the previous Association, presiding. The Chairman explained the function of the Association, which

was to undertake any activity beneficial to the School, and said that in the six years up to 1940 that the Association had functioned, £232 had been raised. There was a balance of cash in hand of £9/13/7, which would assist the new committee to commence its activities. The Secretary of -the previous Association (Mr. W. A. Clarke) presented a balance sheet, which was adopted. Difficulty was experienced in elect-

ing a full committee, and it was resolved that Mrs. E. Parfitt, Miss M. Gilbert, and Messrs A. F. Jamieson, E. Panckhurst. W. Green and Clark organise a further meeting next week.
