The combined Dobson and Taylorville Schools’ football team completed a successfuf season in the Sixth Grade League competitions, being defeated only once, and winning the shield for the competition games and the Herb. Moore Cup for the Knock-out competition. A creditable performance has been achieved by the pupils of the Dobson School, since a branch ot the School Savings Bank was opened at the school eight months ago, and now conducted by the senior pupils. Out of a roll number of 66, there are 62 regular depositors, and these have deposited the sum of £ll7/13/3, an avei'age of £l/15/8 per pupil attending the school. As all the deposits made through the School Savings Bank are credited to the War Expenses Account, the pupils are contributing their share towards the war effort.
