“It is most likely that there will be rationing of bottled beer within the next few months,” a witness told the Armed Forces Appeal Board m Greymouth, yesterday, when a brewery 'firm was the appellant in a case. Witness stated that the firm expected to obtain only 500 gross out of the 2000 gross bottles ordered and that as a result of the shortage it might be necessary to supply hotels with bottled beer only in proportion to the number of empty bottles returned. The bottle shortage was most acute.
