Twelve persons aged 70 or over applied for driving licenses io the Lower Hutt City Council last month, arid all qualified. With a total of 45 Lower Hutt applicants for driving licenses in the nionth, the 70 or over group comprised more than a quarter of them, .and in the private car total (20) 'they were more than half.
