PURSUANT to the Coal-mines 1 Act. 1925, the undersigned JOSEPH HENRY THOMAS GRIGGS of Reefton, Coal Miner, hereby applies for a Coal-min-ing lease in respect of the following land: All that parcel of Crown land containing 40 acres more or less situate in Block 11 Waitahu Survey District, commencing at a point 10 chains distant and 20 degrees East of North of the old Inkerman Battery site, thence running north-easterly for 10 chains, thence running southerly for 40 chains, thence running southwesterly lor 10 chains and thence running northerly for 40 chains to the original point of commencement. Area applied for: 40 acres. The said land is: Unalienated Crown land. Mark on pegs: X. Date of marking out: 11 a.m. on 13/6/1942. Has the applicant any interest in any other, coal-mining right?
