APPOINTMENTS** PROMOTIONS. WELLINGTON, June 18. Appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces which have been gazetted include the following:— Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary) J. F. B. Stevenson, M.C., New Zealand Artillery, is appointed to command an anti-aircraft regiment. _ Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary) J. S. Hudson is appointed to command a field ambulance. Major J. Leggat, 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force, is appointed a general staff officer at Army Headquarters, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Lieutenant-Colonel P. V. Graves relinquishes the appointment of Officer Commanding the New Zealand Medical Corps Training Depot, and is appointed assistant-director of medical services of a division. He is replaced by Lieutenant-Colonel H. T. Jennings. Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary) P. R. Woodhouse, D. 5.0., M.C., is appointed assistant-director of medical services to a division. The following three officers who up to the present have been general staff officers in the Southern, Northern, and Central Military Districts respectively are appointed divisional staff officers, first grade: Major (temporary lieutenant-colonel) A. Bongard, M. C., with promotion to the rank of colonel (temporary); Captain (temporary lieutenant-colonel) W. W r . Dove, M. C., with promotion to the rank of colonel (temporary); and Lieutenant-Colonel (temporary) E. B. Schulze. Major (temporary) C. A. Herman is appointed Assistant-Adjutant-Gen-eral, Army Headquarters, and is granted the temporary rank of lieu-tenant-colonel. Major (temporary) W. G. Lasset is appointed a general staff officer, Central Military District, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Major (temporary) A. Hirschhorn, Assistant- Adjutant-General, Central Military District, becomes a lieuten-ant-colonel. Major (temporary) W. A. Breach, Assistant - Quartermaster - General, Central Military District, becomes a lieutenant-colonel. Major (temporary) C. J. W. Parsons is appointed Assistant-Director of Fortifications and Works, Army Headquarters, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Major (temporary) N. L. Vickerman is appointed commander of the Royal Engineers, Northern Military District, with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Major (temporary) H. E. Goldsbro, District Works Officer, Northern Military District, becomes a temporary lieutenant-colonel. Major A. J. Coutts, Assistant-Quar-termaster-General, Northern Military District, becomes a lieutenant-col-onel. Captain (temporary major) W. S. McKinnon, Senior Staff officer of Artillery, Army Headquarters, becomes a lieutenant-colonel. Major (temporary lieutenant-col- . one!)' AV. F. Shirer is appointed as-sistant-director of medical services to a division. Major (temporary lieutenant-col-onel) C. E. Lees is appointed assist-ant-adjutant and quartermaster-gen-eral to a division.
