The .American Red Cross has reported that move than 250 people have been killed in the United States litis Spring as the result oi‘ a combination of natural disasters. In addition. 2300 people have been seriously injured, and 7000 families affected and many rendered homeless. The Spring disasters have included tornadoqs, cloudbursts, ice jams, floods, and forest tires, together with a mine explosion in West Virginia, which killed 56.
