MELBOURNE MURDERS

EARLY ARREST POSSIBLE. MELBOURNE. May 22. Detectives now say that only one fact is needed before an arrest can be made in connection with the three recent sex murders in and near the city. The police investigation has been narrowed down to one man, and the inquiries are being concentrated almost entirely upon the precincts of the Royal Park Camp. The American Army authorities are working in close co-operation with the police. The evidence now in hand is subject to scientific investigation. If the results are such as to enable the production of evidence in regard to it, an arrest will follow immediately.
