Grey River return for the period ending January 22 was 257‘0z from 111.336 yards, in 153 hours. SNOWY RIVER. The Snowy River dredge return tms week was 116.‘, ounces from 22.000 yards in 123 hours. BERLEI (N.Z.) LTD. lhe net profit lor the year ended December 19. 1941. was £10.742. against £10,452 in the previous year and £11.852 in 1939. The sum of £921 has been transferred to the reserve account, and Hie directors propose an unchanged dividend for the year of 3/6 a share (final 2/-). equal m all to 171 per cent. This will absorb £8750, leaving £ 5341 to be carried forward against £4270 brought in. The report slates that; the company’s London buying house. Lerlei (U.K.) Ltd., although carrying on under war conditions, had kep l I the company well supplied with raw materials. The position was now becoming more acute. The dividends received had been credited to the general reserve account in the current accounts. This fund stands at £41,000. against £37.500 a year ago.
