VOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Grey County Council, under the provisions of Section 51 of “The Rating Act, 1925” and Section 120 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” and all other sections of the abovementioned Acts (and any amendments thereto empowering it so to do)-will, at a Meeting of the Council to be held on WEDNESDAY, the 6th day of AUGUST, 1941, MAKE AND LEVY A GENERAL RATE OF THREEPENCE in the £ on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Rolls now in force within the County of Grey; and a Special Lighting Rate of one-halfpenny in the £ on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Roll now in force within the Blackball Special Lighting District, North Riding, County of Grey; and a Special Lighting rate of one-fifth of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the Capital Value) appearing on the Valuation Roll now in force within the Special District, South Riding, County of Grey, for the period commencing on the first day ot April, 1941, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1942. The said rates shall be payable in one sum to the County Clerk, at the County Council Chambers, Gresson Street, Greymouth, on the 20th day of August, 1941.
