Johnston, Invercargill. TEACHERSKILLED AUCKLAND, January 18. ‘We have lost six teachers,” said the chairman of the Auckland Education Board (Mr. W. J. Campbell) at to-day’s meeting, when three teachers on active service were reported as killed; Frederick Wakelin, Herbert Scott and Alan Stuart. Mr. Wakelin was formerly a relieving teacher, and was killed in a road accident in Egypt. Mr. Scott was ah assistant master at the Cambridge District High School and was probationary teacher in the Te Kuiti District High School, and later at St. Stephen’s College, Auckland.
