MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEET; The West Coast Rugby Union’s! Management Committee met last, evening, there being present: Messrs., A. A. Adams (chairman), J. Guy, F.’ Eggleton, T. Mclntosh, T. O’Donnell, J. Steel, A. M. Jamieson, F. W. Baillie, T. P. Ryan, and O. McLean (secre-j tary). . I The chairman congratulated Mr. Ryan on his election to the Hospital Board at the local body elections. ■ Members congratulated the chairman on his election as a member of the N.Z. Rugby Union Council. , An application from the Magpies Club for a pass for their coach, Mr. J. Snedden, was granted. j The Te Kinga Club forwarded £l, insurance premium. The Canterbury Union advised that it had been decided to send a team to play West Coast at Greymoiith on June 2, provided that the day is observed as a holiday. It was also suggested that a return match be played at Christchurch on June 28. It was resolved that the dates be! confirmed, and that the Canterbury , Union be advised that it was expected! that the best representative side would be sent to Greymouth. 1 The Buller Union advised that it was in favour of a conference regarding the playing of Seddon Shield matches this season, but suggested that the conference be held at Nelson on June 7, and not at Murchison. The Nelson Union advised that it was in favour of playing the Seddon Shield matches as usual, this season, but would send delegates to a con-, ference if it was deemed necessary, i It was resolved that consideration' of the proposed conference be held over until replies are received from Marlborough and Golden Bay Unions. ■ It was decided that the West Coast team to play Canterbury be announc-. ed on Saturday evening next. Blaketown, Technical ground, 3 p.m. (R. Longstaff). , Mr. R. Ferguson has resigned his position as secretary of the West Coast Rugby Referees’ Association, and Mr. C. F. Cockburn has been appointed secretary. At the Association meeting, last evening, a vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Ferguson for his past services. i
