mally maturing on July 15, 1941, and March 15, 1943, was referred to by the Minister for Finance in an interview this evening. He said that application had already been received for the conversion of £6,650,000 ol these securities.
“The quick response made by the holders of nearly one-third of the securities concerned is much apprej dated,” said Mr. Nash, “and clearly ] indicates a recognition on the part of ■ investors generally of the fairness of ! the offer made to them. The results I achieved in a couple of days augur • well for the success of the whole conversion operation, 'involving £21,250,000 of public debt.” PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE. Estates of a value of £402,125 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of April, 1941. The total value of the estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on March 31, 1941, was £64,436,092. Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 135 for the month. During the month 608 ■ new wills appointing the Public ‘
Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged for safe custody, and 334 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators.
