Air-General Willibaid Spang, head of the Luftwaffe’s Meteorological Office, is now implicated in the Hess affair, says the “Daily Express. Hess carried weather charts, which must have been calculated by an expert weather man. The Gestapo has ordered a thorough investigation oi Spang’s staff, and, unless Spang produces the culprit, he is likely to be removed. HITLER’S PRECAUTIONS. LONDON, May 19. A British news service reports that as a result of Herr Hess’s desertion from Germany, Herr Hitler has stopped leave to other people in his entourage. This has prevented Reichsmarshal Goering from going on a hunting trip which he had planned.
