SUNER’S RESIGNATION REFUSED

It is reported from Madrid that the Spanish Foreign Minister, Senor Suner, handed his resignation to General Franco, but the latter refused to accept it. The Spanish Cabinet may be reorganised to give the Foreign Minister wider powers. General Franco, continuing his administrative changes, has relieved of their functions the heads of the Spanish Press and propaganda departments. No new appointments have been announced. GERMANS DISGUISED. (Re’cd. May 20, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Germany is massing troops, disguised in Spanish uniforms, in Spanish Morocco, says the Tangier correspondent of the “Daily Express. The Germans, it is believed, are preparing for an air assault on Gibraltar, or an attack on Dakar. The Spanish Colonial authorities are assisting the Germans to , move secretly, to remote valleys, in Morocco, troops equipped with tanks, armoured cars, and troop-carrying trucks.
