WELLINGTON, April 27. Thirty-one names of members ot the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force are given in a casualty list issued officially to-night. One man has been killed in action, and two died of wounds, and the remaining 28 have been wounded. The list of casualties, and the next-of-km of the officers, non-commissioned officers, and men concerned follows:—
KILLED IN ACTION.
Sapper Alexander Grieve Figgms. His wife is Mrs E. M. Figgins, 49 Hill Street, Onehunga.
DIED OF WOUNDS.
Lieutenant Thomas Edward Dawson. His father is Colonel F. W. W. Dawson, medical officer of health at New Plymouth. Lance-Corporal Christopher James Kelly. His mother is Mrs M. E. Kelly, 23 Kenwyn Terrace, Wellington.
WOUNDED.
Lieutenant - Colonel Frederick Stewart Varnham. His wife is Mrs D. N. Varnham, 26 Baring Terrace, New Plymouth. Second-Lieutenant John Windeyer Fisher. His father is Mr H. Hill Fisher, Albury, South Canterbury. Second-Lieutenant Ernest Frederick Kent. His father is Mr G. F. Kent, Brewery Road, Mornington, Victoria.
Trooper Trevor Louvain Anderson, His father is Mr H. P. Anderson, Manunui.
Trooper Frank Asher. His mother is Mrs H. Greer, Korokoro, Petone. Trooper Thomas Bitters. His father is Mr T. Bitters, Severn Street, Island Bay, Wellington. Private Allan Casford. His mother is Mrs E. Casford, 3 Kelvin Street, Aramoho.
Sergeant Laurence Arthur Crawley. His wife is Mrs L. A. Crawley, private bag, Waipawa. Sergeant Peter Terence Cullen, his father is Mr W. H. Cullen, Gate Pa, Tauranga. Private Alfred James Dick His mother is Mrs M. Dick, 145 Regan Street, Stratford. Lance-Bombardier Neil Dougan. His father is Mr W. J. Dougan, 280 Great North Road, Auckland.
Sergeant John Michael Fennell. His father is Mr M. Fennell, Victoria Street, Reefton. Driver Stanley Allan Fisher. His wife is Mrs E. B. Fisher, 9 Rosella Road, Mangere. Signalman Edmund Mervyn Garrett. His next-of-kin is E. Garrett, Junction Road, Hornby. Gunner Richard Leslie Gaskin. His wife is Mrs J. H. Gaskin, 10 Hereford Street, Palmerston North. Gunner William Douglas Graham. His wife is Mrs D. I. Graham, care of Mrs M. C. Darvell, King Street, Te Kuiti.
Gunner James Noel Gregory. His mother is Mrs B. Gregory, 8 Nixon Street, Arch Hill, Auckland.
Gunner Robert William Howie. His father is Mrs S. H. Howie, 9 Plunket Road, Mount Eden, Auckland. Trooper David Frederick Jolly. His father is Mr D. E. Jolly, Russell, Bay of Islands. Sapper George Lee. His sister is Mrs E. Ward, Winton. Corporal Donald Collett McDiarmid. His father is Mr J. McDiarmid, West Plains Road, Invercargill. Sapper Frank Pete Moore. His mother is Mrs D. A. Moore, 29 Ferguson Avenue, Greenlane, Auckland. Corporal Neville Frank Phillips. His father is Mr F. Phillips, 21 Nixon Street, Whangarei.
Bombardier Richard Porter. His mother is Mrs E. Porter, 27 Benbow Street, St. Heliers. Gunner Roy Rennie. His mother is Mrs K. F. Elton, 715 Mount Albert' Road, Epsom, Auskland.
Private lan Munson Ross. His father is Mr D. Ross, .Sylvia Park Avenue, Otahuhu. Gunner Cedric Douglas Stewart. His mother is Mrs A. M. Stewart, care of Mrs Lowes, 29 Princes Street, Auckland.
Trooper John Renton Topping. His mother is Mrs W. Topping, Ratapiko.
MfSSING AIRMEN
WELLINGTON, April 26. The following Air Force casualties were announced to-day:— Pilot Officer Rex Mulligan Morrow, R.N.Z.A.F., missing on operations. His father is Mr. R. W. Morrow, Christchurch. Pilot Officer Morrow was born in Dunedin in 1910, and was educated at Christ’s College. Squadron Leader Ronald James Bennett, R.A.F., missing, believed killed, on operations. His sister is Mrs. P. A. G. Knocker, Wallingford, England. Squadron Leader Bennett was born in Blenheim in 1908. He was a son of Dr. J. F. Bennett, of Blenheim, and left New Zealand in 1930 to take up a short service commission in the R.A.F.
SEAMAN KILLED,
WELLINGTON, April 28. The following casualty to a New Zealand rating serving with the Royal Navy has been reported: Leading Naval Airman Kenneth Neil Campbell, killed by enemy action in London. Father, Neil W. Campbell, Remuera, Auckland.
