GIFT FUNDS. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, January 16. By the end of last year monetary aid given by the Colonial Empire to Britain and to organisations in Britain totalled £18,295,279. More than £700,000 has been paid out in grants from the Lord Mayor of London’s National Fund, which has now reached £ 1,968,000. IN THE BALKANS’ LONDON, January 15. The Bulgarian War Minister (General Daskaloff) warned the country to-day that Bulgarians must be prepared for every sacrifice, although danger might be avoided by careful policy. The Rumanian Government has issued a decree prohibiting the export fo all livestock to ensure a reserve of meat for the army in case it is mobilised.
