Theodore Sizer, director of the Yale 'art gallery, has left for Australia to arrange to exhibit I Australian and New Zealand art and art objects, in '1941, in the United States and Canada. He will be visiting all the principal galleries and museums. TAUNTON SMASH. RUGBY, October 27. The Transport Ministry’s official report of the rail crash near Taunton on November 4, in which 27 were killed, states: “The sole cause was an unaccountable lapse on the part of the driver. His breakdown, may be partly- attributed to operating conditions in the black-out, and the general strain which railway servants, in common with other members of the community, are undergoing at the present time.” LOANS TO WAR FUNDS. 7 ' RUGBY, December 27. During the week ended December 24, the number of loans free of interest received by the Treasury was 103, totalling £153,587. The total amount received is £25,097,366 and the number of loans 11,184.
