The District Organiser of the National Savings Movement reports that further progress was made for the week ending Saturday, December 14, when six new groups were formed, making the total for Greymouth 49. The employees of the following firms made their first deposits: Municipal, Gas Department, Public Trust Office, Grey River Argus Co. Ltd., Post Office, Bank of New Zealand, Public.
