[to the editor.] ’ Sir, —Is it fair or just for the appeals for soldiers to be made public, or for .widowed mothers, and others to have th'eir private affairs advertised everywhere? Surely our Labour Government never intended that parents should be so humiliated. Could they not be heard privately, as it is only the Board and appellant employer and parents concerned, not the public, to discuss the proposed soldier’s and his parent’s business and finance.—Yours, etc., mother:
