SHIPPING NOTES.

Geal is to sail this afternoon, for Hokitika.

Holmlea is loading coal for Wellington, and is to sail this afternoon. Poolta is loading for Napier and Gisborne, and is to sail to-night. Karepo is expected to-day, from Auckland, to load coal for Wellington. She is to return on July 8, to again load coal for Wellington. Gabriella is due on Monday, from Wellington, to load for Miramar and Wellington. Kakapo is to leave Auckland on Monday, with cargo for Greymouth, and is due on Thursday, to load for Auckland. Puriri is due .on Friday, from Port Waikato, to load timber for .Onehunga and Port Waikato. STEAMER EXPRESS SERVICE. To enable the Rangatira and the Wahine to be laid up in turn for annual overhaul, the Maori entered the steamer express service to-day, leaving Wellington this morning for Lyttelton, where she is due to-night. The Wahine will remain at Wellington over the week-end, and will take the Rangatira’s run. Evening sailings in the service will be resumed from and including Monday, July 1. The Maori will leave Lyttelton on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the Wahine on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until further notice.
