WELLINGTON, June 12. 1 A total of £283,000 had been collected for the Sick and Wounded Fund by to-night. Wellington still tops the list with £63,000. Canterbury is next with £6OO less, and Otago is third with £50,000. The advent of Italy into the war has made the need for funds even more urgent. The organisers hope to raise at last £500,000 before the fund is closed. MOCK COURT. HAMILTON, June 13. At the mock Court proceedings, at Hamilton, yesterday, in which there were a judge, policemen, and assistants, all women members of the local Patriotic Committee, the large sum of £1250 was raised for the Sick and Wounded Fund, the fines ranging from nominal amounts to £5O, in two instances.
