XTOTICE is hereby given that the Greymouth Harbour Board: (hereinafter called the Board) intends- to. introduce in the House of Representatives during its forthcoming session a Bill for the purposes l appearing hereunder: — A copy of the proposed Bill has been deposited at each of thei following places, viz.: The Board’s Office, ■ Gresson Street, Greymouth, and the Magistrate’s Court at Hokitika; such ’ copies are open to public inspection during office! hours', without fee, for . a period of three complete! weeks from the date of the first publication of this ' advertisement being the diay following ■ the date thereof.

The following is a summary of the objects of the Bill: — (1) To enable the! Board toi borrow, without a poll of the ratepayers, a sum ncit exceeding Ten Thousand Pounds (£10,000) for the purchase, fitting out and delivery at Greymouth of a combined sounding-launch and tug. (2) To providte for the making and levying of a special rate over the whole of the Board’s rating-area by way of security for such loan, such rate to be levied on the capital value of lands within such rating area. (3) To confer rating and other powers on any Receiver appointed by the Supreme Court- after the Board has. made default in : payment of any principal or interest moneys payable' by it in respect of sugh loan.
