BRITAIN’S BUTTER-RATION

The Minister of Food, to-day, warned the public of ‘the possibility of reducing the butter ration at an early date. , , _ “I have no doubt we shall have adequate supplies drawn from within, the Empire for the rest of the year, he said; “but the important thing for us to consider, was not how much of any particular article there was in England at the moment, but how much there would be in the event of all sorts of disadvantageous circumstances arising, in. the future.” It will be recalled, that the original butter' ration was doubled shortly after its introduction.,. ..
