THE REST [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] SYDNEY, March 11. , In an exciting finish, New South Wales defeated the Rest of Australia bv two wickets. ‘The New South Wales tail played splendidly, Pepper attacked the bowling, hitting five fours' in his score of 25 not out. Scores: —New South Wales, first innings 219; second innings, eight wickets for 323 (McCabe 96, Cohen 67, Barnes 46). Grimmett took five wickets for 130.
The proceeds of the match are for patriotic funds. They amount to about £1.200. -
