CYCLING

VICTORIA PARK MEETING. The track meeting at Victoria Park last evening, was one of the best held by the Club this season. The track was fairly fast, and the weather conditions ideal for racing. Sheldon and Lalor were the outstanding riders, while Malone and "Lamont were also prominent. Results:— Half-mile: —J. Lalor (60yds) 1, R. Pascoe (40yds) 2, M. Sheldon (30yds) 3. Thirteen started. Won by a length; two lengths. Time, 1.5. One Mile:—M. Sheldon (40yds) and J. Lamont (60yds), dead-heat, 1, J. Lalor (120yds) 3. Twelve started. A dead-heat; a length. Time, 2.17. Two Miles: —M. Malone (scr.) 1, M. Sheldon (45yds) 2, J. Smith (155yds) 3. Fourteen started. Won by four lengths; a length. Time, 4.36.
